Laparoscopy

Laparoscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to examine and operate on the organs inside the abdomen or pelvis. It is commonly referred to as “keyhole surgery” because it involves making small incisions through which a laparoscope (a thin tube with a camera and light) is inserted. This allows the surgeon to see the internal organs on a monitor without having to make a large incision.
