It is 16 bedded conditioned unit. MMTH has the honor to have all kind of latest surgical treatment in this Unit, i.e. Laparoscopic & Endoscope surgery. This is one of the very important departments of the Hospital, where the poor and deserving patients are being treated zealously for the last 4 decades. All kind of surgery except Heart and By Pass is being done in MMTH. By the grace of ALMIGHTY ALLAH, our success rate of surgery is 100% which is an ample proof of experience of our Surgeons. Recently we have introduced advance Technology, which is now being applied upon the patients who suffer from Appendix and Hernia. Instead of open Surgery, now our Surgeons are operating the patients through Laparoscopic machine. The days have passed when children suffering from Appendix or Hernia remained admitted in the hospital for 5-7 days. Now through advance surgical procedures such patients are being discharged on very next day of the operation. During last year, 1855 patients were operated by our surgeons, out of which 1456 operations were done for General ward patients only. Almost 30% of the patients were treated free of cost, whereas rest of the patients were charged on subsidized rates. The number of Operations reflects the experience and care being provided by our Surgeons. The Hospital pays a handsome salary to the Surgeons and bears certain expanses in connection with the operations. According to estimate at least 2.5 million Rupees were subsidizes by the Trust Hospital during last year. Now we desire to further upgrade this Unit by introducing Dialysis Facilities as there are 4000 cases of end stage renal failure annually in Pakistan. Faisalabad being the 3rd largest area in the country has more than 1000 cases to it’s share.
